Shallegra Moye

Shallegra Moye is a new instructor in the Department of Africana Studies. She is widely known as a scholar-practitioner, community collaborator, and champion of public education equity and justice. Dr. Shallegra Moye currently serves on advisory boards for several youth-serving organizations and provides capacity building for adults who serve students and families and mentorship to young people. Shallegra Moye is the recipient of the Jefferson Awards Pittsburgh ChangeMakers, State of Black Learning Black Educators Excellence Award, APlus Schools ChangeMakers, and When She Thrives Community Cultivator award. Shallegra Moye is a graduate of Carlow University and received an EdD from the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh.
