On November 12th, 2021, The Department of Africana Studies hosted two virtual panels in celebration of the department's 50th anniversary.
Celebrating 50 Years of Cultivating Exellence: Alumni of Africana Studies
Panelists were asked to share their own experiences and perspectives on the way the Department of Africana Studies shaped, impacted, and/or reinforced their careers, accomplishments, and service.

Celebrating 50 Years of Collaboration and Engagement: The Relationship Between Africana Studies and the Community
Panelists were asked to share their own experiences and perspectives on the way the Department of Africana Studies has engaged with the community in the past, how community members have worked with/collaborated with Africana Studies, the value of Africana Studies for community engagement efforts, and/or new possibilities for how the Department of Africana Studies could connect with the community in other ways.
